Beginner Improv Quilted Vessels

Instructor: Clustered Spires Quilt Guild
Description: Learn to quilt outside the block by creating a contemporary and functional quilted piece of art in this weekend workshop. Push aside tradition and run free with improvisational quilting, a technique that uses no pattern but instead follows the flow of the maker. Then learn various ways to add structure to your pieces. Students should have basic sewing knowledge of how to sew two pieces of fabric together and basic sewing machine operation. Tuition includes all supplies, but students who have their own sewing machines and/or preferred fabric, notions, or tools are encouraged to bring them.
