Sculpting the Hands

Instructor: Lesa Cook
Description: Hands can be one of the most difficult areas to sculpt. This course aims to familiarize you with their structure and form, enabling you to create more naturalistic and expressive renderings. Begin with building a simple wire armature, then apply clay for the underlying skeletal structure as well as the ligaments and muscles, then finally overlay clay for the skin. There will be a presentation of sculpted hands, and instructor demonstrations as well as both group and individual instruction. Tuition includes all supplies.
