Jewelry for the Advanced Beginner

Instructor: Georgina Copanzzi
Description: Using the fundamentals of jewelry fabrication, you will create a forged or a fold-formed cuff bracelet, hammered or fold-formed earrings, and solder a chain necklace. You will utilize techniques such as piercing, drilling, sawing, stamping, annealing, and simple soldering. This class will emphasize safety, tool mastery, and skill development while supporting you through the completion of original jewelry pieces. Suggested prerequisite: Introduction to Metalsmithing workshop or equivalent. Supply list will be included with confirmation. 16 years and older. NOTE: There will be no class July 4 or August 1.
