Eastern European Egg Painting

Instructor: Joanna Lohr
Description: Discover the Eastern European art of “pysanky,” wax-resist egg decoration! Traditionally involving the application of hot wax with a stylus, pysanky often features folk designs in geometric, plant, animal, and symbolic motifs. In this one-day workshop, you will progress through the egg waxing and dyeing process, which will emphasize proper technique and encourage individual design, to decorate 4–6 eggs. No experience necessary. Tuition includes all supplies.
