Class

Sculpting the Features: Eyes and Ears

Instructor: Lesa Cook
Description: Focusing on the features is a traditional approach to learning portrait sculpture. By copying casts of the features of David by Michelangelo, you will learn both the sculpting methods and the anatomy and form of the feature. Each student will work from their own cast (eyes or ears) and duplicate it in clay, which then can be hollowed out for firing. If time allows, students may sculpt more than one feature. Class will include demonstrations and discussions of anatomy and sculpting methods. Tuition includes all supplies. NOTE: Masks are required for this class.
