Description: Drawing skills are fundamental to working successfully in any medium. Guided by artist Jan McIntyre-Creager, students will explore the technical and conceptual possibilities of drawing to develop a personal visual language. Work from still life and photographs while learning to truly ‘see’ the subject. Open to all levels. Students should bring the following SUPPLIES to the first class: Assortment of 4 or 5 graphite pencils from hard (H) to soft (B); Charcoal pencils or vine charcoal (soft to medium density); 18x24 drawing pad; and kneaded eraser. (Approximate value: $25) NOTE: A limited supply of drawing materials are available for purchase at The Delaplaine.
