Beginning Jewelry

Instructor: Georgina Copanzzi
Description: Learn the fundamentals of jewelry fabrication to create a forged or a fold-formed cuff bracelet and earrings and solder a chain necklace. Techniques such as piercing, drilling, sawing, stamping, annealing, and simple soldering will be covered. Ideal for the new or novice jeweler, this class emphasizes safety, tool mastery, and skill development while supporting you through the completion of original jewelry pieces. Suggested prerequisite: Introduction to Metalsmithing workshop or equivalent. Suggested supply list will be included with confirmation. NOTE: There will be no class on February 11.
