High School Art Club

Description: Are you a high school student looking for a challenging art education experience? Want to work with other like-minded people in a professional artistic environment? Join our new high school art club! Delaplaine Art Club members will create artwork, hear from professional artists, and curate an annual group exhibition of their work. Club members will benefit from a peer-oriented visual arts environment, where they can create new artwork, work on in-progress school or personal projects, discuss long-term goals, learn from professional artists, and more. Open to public, private, and homeschooled students in grades 9–12. Members should be interested in pursuing higher education and/or a career in the arts, students who seek a challenging art education experience, and/or students who thrive in an artistic environment with like-minded, goal-oriented peers. The club is organized and overseen by the Delaplaine's Community Outreach Manager and meets every 2nd Thursday of the month, September through May. Annual participation fee ($50) covers supplies and speaker honoraria.
