Class

Drawing Animals in Nature with Graphite

Instructor: Jodie Schmidt
Description: Discover how to depict a variety of animals in their natural habitats by using grids, freehand drawing, and shading as a guide to capture the specific characteristics of animals such as raccoons, mourning doves, elephants, and more! We will explore the elements of art, texture, and value in depth within the contexts of traditional drawing techniques. In addition, by using detailed shading techniques, each specific texture of an animal can be captured, such as short fur or textured skin. This type of shading will take your drawings to the next level of realism! Beginners are welcome, but some drawing experience is helpful. Supply list will be included with confirmation. (Estimated supplies cost: $24.)
