Beginning Drawing

Description:	Elevating the sketch from building blocks to final art. Award winning illustrator and painter John Kachik will help you explore the traditional techniques of proper sketching. The key to classical drawing starts with the sketching process: learning to accurately translate size, proportion, scale, line, light and shadow. Students will work from photos using their favorite subjects, and from real life objects. A variety of drawing media and papers will be used, including vine charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, wash drawings and pastel rubbings.
