Portrait Painting From a Model

Instructor: Paul Wilson
Description: Learn all of the basics of working with a model. Instructor Paul Wilson will teach techniques on oil paints and drawing. Students will consider the lighting and posing of a portrait, choosing a background, achieving a likeness, and assessing values. Those working in oils will learn about colors on the palette, brushes, and the positioning of the easel. Graphite and charcoal mark-making will also be discussed for those interested in drawing. Instruction will be based on samples, demonstrations, and discussion. Tuition includes model fee.
