Handbuilding with Clay: Parent and Child

Instructor: Jenna Gianni
Description: Learn the basics of hand-building with clay! Explore techniques to create functional pottery pieces and forming processes such as working with hard and soft slabs, joining, pinching, and sculpting. Projects include designing your own mug, plate, and pinched flower pot decorated with some sculpted plants and flowers. Geared for parent and child pairs (6 and older), but all ages are welcome! Tuition fee covers adult/child pair, all supplies and kiln firing. Students should bring a smock or apron and a cloth towel for cleaning up.
