Introduction to Film Photography

Description: Learn the basics of still photography using a film camera. Photography fundamentals such as film selection, shutter speed, aperture, and ISO will be covered. Camera choices will be reviewed, from 35mm to medium format, where to process film, and film scanning options. The workshop includes a demonstration on working with scanned images in Photoshop®. Darkroom topics such as developing your own black-and-white film and making your own prints will be discussed. No prior photography experience required. If you have a film camera, you are welcome to bring it to class. Bring a bag lunch or visit downtown eateries within walking distance during a 30-minute break.
