Envisioning Art School: Constructing the Divergent Portfolio

Instructor: David Modler
Description: Join Shepherd University Art Department Chair, David Modler, in this course for high school art students interested in developing their craft and stretching the diversity of their portfolio for the art school application process. A multi-disciplinary approach will be taken as we explore a wide range of materials to express personal meaning in image making. Processes explored will include, but not be limited to, observational drawing, relief printmaking, and mixed media. You will be encouraged to engage and persist with your studio practice as you reflect on old and new work for consideration as portfolio selections. Tuition includes all supplies except a sketchbook.
