Associate Curator Yuri Stone will present on four recent installations of work by Felix Gonzalez-Torres at Glenstone Museum. One of the most significant artists to emerge out of New York City in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Gonzalez-Torres is best known for using everyday materials to evocatively express both the personal and the political. The Cuban-born American artist transformed lightbulbs, clocks, and candies into refined, at times participatory, sculptures that reflect themes of partnership, love, loss, and intimacy.
