SUMMARY:Art at Noon: Felix Gonzalez-Torres at Glenstone
DESCRIPTION:Associate Curator Yuri Stone will present on four recent installations of work by Felix Gonzalez-Torres at Glenstone Museum. One of the most significant artists to emerge out of New York City in the late 1980s and early 1990s\, Gonzalez-Torres is best known for using everyday materials to evocatively express both the personal and the political. The Cuban-born American artist transformed lightbulbs\, clocks\, and candies into refined\, at times participatory\, sculptures that reflect themes of partnership\, love\, loss\, and intimacy.
