Independently refine ceramics skills and bring your personal visions to life in a supportive open studio environment. Students are encouraged to bring in ideas for projects and will receive as much or as little assistance as needed. Each class, there will be a demo highlighting a specific technique to be applied to new projects.
Prerequisite: wheel throwing classes, knowledge of cone 6 clay, and understanding of glazes and glaze application.
Tuition includes up to 25 lbs. of clay; access to tools, pottery wheels, and glazes; as well as firing of completed work.
Please note:
- Studio tools will be available for your use, but you are welcome to bring your own.
- Please plan to have your work completed and ready for glaze firing by the end of the course. Delaplaine staff will contact you to pick up your finished pieces after they have been fired.
- The studio is not available to students outside of class time.
- There will be no class on November 25.
