The work in this exhibition attempts to change reality by reimagining perception. Ames says about the work, “If I can change my external reality, I can change my internal reality. It is based on the choices I make.” 
Toys are a source of entertainment for children and a source of inspiration for artists. Turning circles into spheres and triangles into cones on a flat surface is both a challenge and a joy. Work and play are complementary activities. 
This collection of photographs features often overlooked blooms in the Mid-Atlantic region literally everywhere and anywhere where conditions are good for their growth. 
Lawton’s exhibition focuses on the intricate part that mentors and teachers play for artists. Each piece in the exhibition aims to highlight and honor those who have led the way—in some capacity—for her work. 
With vibrant colors and dynamic compositions, Robinson’s paintings focus on themes of expressionistic portraiture, abstracted still life, and magical realism as a way to consider the interconnectedness between humanity and the natural world. 
A signature of the Delaplaine’s Creative Aging Month, this annual exhibition celebrates local artists over age 70 and showcases a wide range of styles, techniques, and interests. |

Fostel’s drawings are focused on the bedroom as a unique place where a sole woman occupant can be free of the objectification and expectation imposed upon her most anywhere else. The work acknowledges each woman through representation of her space, rather than her body. 
The work in this exhibition is inspired by Kumiko, a Japanese art form established in the Asuka era (600–700 AD). These intricate pieces made of wood, fabric, gold leaf, and paper are part of Gootnick’s work which introduces Kumiko to the broader audience. 
This immersive experience in mixed media work by Maynard takes inspiration from various mythological vantage points to explore the idea of paradise and humanity’s preoccupation with it. 
Work in this exhibition is from members of the talented artists of the Olney Art Association. Established to support both emerging and established artists, the association offers a platform for showcasing diverse styles and mediums through exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative projects.
