The work in this exhibition attempts to change reality by reimagining perception. Ames says about the work, “If I can change my external reality, I can change my internal reality. It is based on the choices I make.” 
Toys are a source of entertainment for children and a source of inspiration for artists. Turning circles into spheres and triangles into cones on a flat surface is both a challenge and a joy. Work and play are complementary activities. 
This collection of photographs features often overlooked blooms in the Mid-Atlantic region literally everywhere and anywhere where conditions are good for their growth. |
