Each piece in this exhibition features a direct quote Dodson used with his students as a middle school visual art teacher: encouragements to be creative, take risks, challenge assumptions, and grow their sense of self. The text rests over layers of mixed-media, and the colors, textures and images represent the unique, vibrant, and colorful nature of his students and their creative ideas.
