Learn how to weave beautiful historical tablet woven bands just like the Vikings did in this weekend workshop! Tablet weaving requires very little equipment, just cards instead of a loom, and no previous weaving experience is needed.
Please bring the following materials to class:
- A belt or something to tie securely around your waist – One end of the weaving warp threads will be secured to this to regulate warp tension.
- Worsted or sport weight yarn in 2 to 3 colors, wound into balls or cakes – recommended: Plymouth Galway
- Recommended, but optional: tablet weaving cards (example: https://a.co/d/1BfnReb)
