Explore relief printmaking using linoleum in this Saturday workshop. In this process, linoleum is removed with gouges to create the design or image to be printed from the remaining raised areas of the linoleum. There are different types of linoleum, and battleship grey unmounted linoleum will be used in this workshop.
Previous drawing experience is recommended.
Tuition includes all supplies, aside from a reference photo or drawing.
No later than one week before class, email either or both of the following reference images to our Instruction Manager, who will flip the image and print it for your use during class.
- Black and white photograph with 4:5 aspect ratio
- Black and white drawing with 4:5 aspect ratio or 8×10 inches
NOTE: This workshop will take a lunch break at mid-day. Students are welcome to bring their own or go out to pick something up.
