Will has been at the Delaplaine since 2021, serving as Director of Operations since 2022. He oversees day-to-day facility operations focusing on visitor safety, security, and the visitor experience. Will has many years of arts management experience, previously at the Carroll Arts Center.

Kristen has been the Delaplaine’s Director of Programs since 2020. In this role, she leads the Programs Department, overseeing exhibitions, instruction, and community engagement. She is a public historian by training, but her career path wound its way to nonprofit management.

Jackie has worked at the Delaplaine since 2020, becoming the Marketing & Membership Manager in 2024. She manages the Delaplaine’s social media and marketing efforts, as well as managing the membership program and assisting those who support their community arts center.

Corey Frey
Corey Frey has been Exhibitions Manager at the Delaplaine since 2020. In this role, he works with local and regional artists on scheduling, facilitating, and managing exhibitions in the Delaplaine’s five gallery spaces and three satellite galleries. Corey is also a visual artist who exhibits throughout the region.

Melanie Gettier has been Visitor & Volunteer Services Manager since 2018. She graduated with a BFA in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth. Melanie conveys her experience by ensuring client satisfaction, planning displays, and valuing the public’s safety and comfort. She also manages the volunteer program.

Jillian has served as the Community Engagement Manager since 2022. In her role, she coordinates workshops for a variety of local organizations, as well as other public art education programming. She is an artist and previously worked at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.

Hana has served as Instruction Manager since 2022. In her role, she performs administrative duties for educational programming including managing registrations, developing semesters of classes and workshops, and supporting instructors. She is an artist and has a background in art education.

Marilyn has handled special event rentals at the Delaplaine since 2008. In this role, she has engaged clients to assure positive rental experiences for their milestone events. She has the privilege and responsibility of transforming Gardiner Hall into unique settings for more than 200 events each year.

Max has been at the Delaplaine since 2025. As Rentals Assistant, he is responsible for ensuring that Gardiner Hall is ready for renters and guests. A talented troubleshooter, Max works with clients to make their rental experience stress-free.

Scott has been an Operations Assistant at the Delaplaine since 2022. In his role, Scott greets and assists visitors, students, and Gift Gallery shoppers. If you drop-in on a weekend, it’s likely his will be the smiling face that greets you.

David has been at the Delaplaine since 2018. In his role as Operation Assistant, he greets and assists visitors, students, and Gift Gallery shoppers. David is well-known around Frederick as a multi-faceted supporter of the arts locally.

As the Studio Associate, Max is responsible for maintaining the studio spaces and stocking art supplies. Additionally, she runs the 3rd Space Open Studio and assists with the High School Art Club.

Taylor has served as Operations Associate since 2023. In her role, she assists rental staff and serves as house manager for private events. When not in her role at the Delaplaine, Taylor also runs an event balloon business.

Roxy has been at the Delaplaine since 2024. As Facilities Assistant, Roxy is responsible for “keeping up appearances” around the arts center. Roxy is a practicing artist.
