Travel to Philadelphia to explore the unique Barnes Foundation! Founded by Albert C. Barnes in 1922, this museum holds 4,000 historical objects and over 900 paintings primarily from the Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and Modernist movements. Dr. Barnes aimed to make connections between artworks across cultures, movements, media, and time periods, and although the museum was relocated to City Center Philadelphia in 2012, Dr. Barnes’s carefully curated layout is precisely replicated in the new museum. See works by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, Picasso, and van Gogh as well as special exhibition Rochelle Feinstein: The Today Show, with more than 30 of Feinstein’s mixed-media works examining abstraction, culture, and public life.
