Travel with us to the Baltimore Museum of Art to see Amy Sherald: American Sublime, which traces the evolution of the artist, a defining voice of her generation who transformed American portraiture. The BMA was founded on the belief that access to art and ideas is integral to a vibrant and healthy civic life. It has long focused on acquiring contemporary art, as well as maintaining and deepening a historic collection made relevant through vigorous development and reinterpretation in all collecting areas.

- Lunch will be on your own. Gertrude’s Chesapeake Kitchen is onsite but reservations are required, or enjoy one of several restaurants within walking distance.

Commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a visit to the estate of the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and the first president of the United States. Tour the mansion as well as the museum and education center to learn more about the history of the estate as well as Washington’s personal history and legacy. Explore the estate to experience life for Washington, his family, and the people who lived and worked at Mount Vernon.
