Emerging Perspectives

The Emerging Perspectives Exhibition is a juried exhibition open for submissions from artists ages 18 to 35 in any medium, and is geared toward artists beginning the pursuit of their creative discipline of their own volition, be they, in art-centered higher education programs or engaged in their own artistic practice while taking strides in setting their career paths.

About the 2024 Juror

Kara Braciale

Kara Braciale is an artist and educator based in northern Virginia. She teaches at the Corcoran School of Arts and Design at George Washington University. She has exhibited her work at but, also in Washington, D.C., Regina Rex Gallery in New York. Her work has been included in the inaugural Museum of Contemporary Art (formerly Arlington Arts Center) biennial exhibition Assembly in 2019. She has work on view in the 2024 Made in VA Biennial at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. She has been a fellow at Virginia Center for Creative Arts and Vermont Studio Center and recently participated in the 2024 edition of  Electronic Textiles Camp hosted by Prairie Ronde Residency.
