DESCRIPTION:Vote for Your Favorites\nThis 10-day public exhibition features creations made with interlocking blocks (such as LEGO®) and artworks inspired by the block theme. Brick aficionados of all ages are participating to show off their creativity and skill while helping to raise funds for our community engagement programs serving underserved\, at-risk\, and marginalized audiences. Visitors can purchased votes in a variety of amounts and cast them for one or more favorite entries. Each vote purchased adds to our ability to reach more people in the community! \nExtended Hours\nFriday\, Mar 20–Sunday\, Mar 29 the Delaplaine will be open extended hours: \n\nMonday–Saturday\, 9–8 & Sunday\, 11–5\n\nProgram Goals\n\nTo engage members of the community of all ages to create and enjoy fun works of art using interlocking plastic blocks as materials or inspiration.\nTo raise critical funds for the Delaplaine’s Community Engagement and public programs.\n\nAwards\nA panel of judges will select winners in the following categories: \n\nJurors Award – Best Engineered Block Project: $150\nJurors Award – Most Creative Block Project or Artwork: $150\nJurors Award – Most Inspired Artwork: $150\n\nThe project or artwork that receives the most votes will be named the People’s Choice Award Winner\, receive $250 and a trophy\, and have their project displayed in the May issue of Delaplaine Arts magazine\, distributed to about 50\,000 households and businesses\, and on the Delaplaine’s social media. \nImportant Dates for Entrants\n\nProject/Artwork Delivery: Tuesday & Wednesday\, Mar 17 & 18\, 9 am–7 pm\nJurors Award Winners Announced: Saturday\, Mar 21 via Facebook\nPeople’s Choice Award Winner Announced: Monday\, Mar 30 via Facebook\nProject/Artwork Pick-Up: Monday & Tuesday\, Mar 30 & 31\, 9 am–7 pm\n\nDisclaimer: LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor\, authorize\, or endorse this program.

DESCRIPTION:Mark Your Calendar\nAncients & Aliens 2026 Gala • Saturday\, Sep 26\n2025 Oz Gala Our Best Yet!\n\n\n\n\nMore than a hundred Delaplaine supporters and friends followed the Dela-brick Road on September 27\, 2025 to celebrate our 39th year of bringing visual arts opportunities and experiences to the Frederick region and raise critical funds for our Community Engagement programs! Attendees enjoyed delicious cuisine by Canapes Catering and danced the night away courtesy of DJ Kevin Sayers.
