DESCRIPTION:Travel with us to Charlottesville\, Virginia\, to visit two impressive art repositories at the University of Virginia.  \nThe Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection is the only museum outside of Australia dedicated to the exhibition and study of Indigenous Australian art. Our group will have guided tours of their exhibitions and go behind the scenes on a tour of the collections. \nThe Fralin Museum has a collection of works from across the globe that enriches student life\, enlivens Charlottesville\, and inspires those near and far. This portion will be a self-guided experience. \n\nSpace is limited\, and registration is first-come\, first-served.\nFee includes motor coach transportation and snacks on the bus.\nThe bus will be depart Frederick promptly at 7:00 am\, and we expect to return around 6:00 pm.\nLunch will be on your own at one of the many restaurants near The Fralin Museum of Art.\nYou will receive information regarding parking and the trip itinerary in your confirmation and reminder emails.\nQuestions? Third Space is what you make it! Open to adult artists of any visual artistic medium. Registration at delaplaine.org is encouraged. Artists must provide their own supplies. The Delaplaine provides easels\, tables and chairs\, electrical outlets\, extension cords\, stand lights\, and still-life objects\, and the Etchison-Davis art reference library is available on the 2nd floor.
