DESCRIPTION:Commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a visit to the estate of the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and the first president of the United States. Tour the mansion as well as the museum and education center to learn more about the history of the estate as well as Washington’s personal history and legacy. Explore the estate to experience life for Washington\, his family\, and the people who lived and worked at Mount Vernon. \n\nSpace is limited\, and registration is first-come\, first-served.\nFee includes deluxe motor coach transportation\, snacks on the bus\, and admission\, as well as the self-guided tour of the mansion.\nThe bus will be depart Frederick promptly at 9:00 am\, and we expect to return around 5:00 pm.\nAccessibility information can be found on Mount Vernon’s website.\nLunch will be on your own at either the food court or the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant. The BMA was founded on the belief that access to art and ideas is integral to a vibrant and healthy civic life. It has long focused on acquiring contemporary art\, as well as maintaining and deepening a historic collection made relevant through vigorous development and reinterpretation in all collecting areas. \n\nSpace is limited\, and registration is first-come\, first-served.\nFee includes deluxe motor coach transportation\, special exhibit tickets\, and snacks on the bus.\nThe bus will be depart Frederick promptly at 9:00 am\, and we expect to return around 5:00 pm.\nAll backpacks\, packages\, laptops\, or items larger than 11 x 15 inches must be checked at the Checkroom.\nWheelchairs are available free of charge at the Checkroom.\nLunch will be on your own. Brick aficionados of all ages are participating to show off their creativity and skill while helping to raise funds for our community engagement programs serving underserved\, at-risk\, and marginalized audiences. Visitors can purchased votes in a variety of amounts and cast them for one or more favorite entries.
