DESCRIPTION:Commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a visit to the estate of the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and the first president of the United States. Tour the mansion as well as the museum and education center to learn more about the history of the estate as well as Washington’s personal history and legacy. Explore the estate to experience life for Washington\, his family\, and the people who lived and worked at Mount Vernon. \n\nSpace is limited\, and registration is first-come\, first-served.\nFee includes deluxe motor coach transportation and snacks on the bus.\nThe bus will be depart Frederick promptly at 9:00 am\, and we expect to return around 5:00 pm.\nAccessibility information can be found on Mount Vernon’s website.\nLunch will be on your own at either the food court or the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant. DESCRIPTION:Travel with us to Charlottesville\, Virginia\, to visit two impressive art repositories at the University of Virginia.  \nThe Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection is the only museum outside of Australia dedicated to the exhibition and study of Indigenous Australian art. Our group will have guided tours of their exhibitions and go behind the scenes on a tour of the collections. \nThe Fralin Museum has a collection of works from across the globe that enriches student life\, enlivens Charlottesville\, and inspires those near and far.
