SUMMARY:Approaching Abstraction: Transforming the Landscape
DESCRIPTION:Using the landscape as a starting point\, this Saturday afternoon workshop will explore how observation can become inspiration rather than imitation. Through guided exercises\, demonstrations\, and a focus on exploring process and possibility\, learn to simplify what you see\, strengthen composition\, and make intentional choices about shape\, color\, and mark-making. Experiment\, take creative risks\, and leave with a practical framework for transforming landscape into expressive abstract paintings. A basic understanding of value and composition is recommended. \nTuition includes all supplies. \nVisit our homepage at delaplaine.org or call 301-698-0656 x366 for information on weather related closings. If the building is closed\, classes are canceled\, and a make-up session will be scheduled.
