DESCRIPTION:Cast off your preconceived ideas about abstract painting in acrylics to improve your design\, expand your artistic knowledge\, and enhance your painting skills! Develop your own style and approach to abstracts in an open studio format with light instruction. \nOpen studio classes are not suggested for beginners. Previous painting experience required. \nPlease bring the following materials to class: \n\nExamples of your work (if applicable)\nReady-made stretch canvas – any size\nPaper – Rives BFK or other 150# paper\nAssortment of acrylic paints – Liquitex or Winsor & Newton recommended\nAssortment of brushes with stiffer bristles\, some flats and rounds\, including:\n\nSponge brush\n2- to 3-inch flat brush – something inexpensive\, like a gesso brush\n\n\n2 palette knives\n2-inch wide masking tape (not colored tape or blue painters tape)\nCloth rags\nRoll of paper towels\nStudents who wish to work on full-sized drawing paper should also bring a 22×30 support board to class. This can be made of plywood\, foam core\, gator board\, etc.\, but should be light enough for you to handle comfortably.\n\nNOTE: Please refrain from wearing lotion with fragrance or perfume\, as this class is a FRAGRANCE-FREE zone!
