Beginning–Intermediate Still Life Painting

Instructor:	Lee Newman
Description:	Still life is the subject matter of painters. Working from life, you will learn the basics of blocking in the large masses of a painting, exact mixing of color, and techniques of applying acrylic or oil paints with brush and knife. Through directed exercises and references to masters such as Chardin, Cézanne, and Picasso, you will develop a painting through several stages. Instruction involves demonstrations and critiques.
