Description:	This workshop meets Saturday, April 13 from 11am - 5pm and Sunday, April 14 from 11:30am - 5pm. This is an introductory workshop that will explore image making and writing processes using mixed media materials in a visual journal. Personal themes and concepts will be addressed while students learn a variety of watercolor pencil and painting, collage, and image transfer techniques. Instructor-led demos will cover a variety of materials and techniques, and students will gain insight through guided and independent practice. Explore a variety of reflective writing processes, make packaging tape and solvent image transfers, investigate collage and layering techniques while developing a self-directed visual journal practice. Tuition includes a Canson hardbound sketchbook to take home.
