Make Your Own Wooden Utensils

Description: Learn to make your own wooden spatula or spoon in this 1-day workshop that meets Saturday, March 9 from 10am - 1pm. Students will learn how to make their own wooden spatula or spoon using a combination of machine and hand tools, including band saw, belt sander, spoke shave, block plane, and card scraper. Learn to use time-honored tools and techniques along with modern designs to create useful and beautiful artifacts that will last generations. Tuition includes supplies and required safety equipment. REQUIRED: Signed studio waiver (provided in class); closed-toed shoes; long hair must be tied back; must roll up long sleeves; no jewelry.
