Figure Drawing with Lesa Cook 19-1

Instructor: Lesa Cook
Description: Learn to draw the human figure using a variety of techniques and materials, including charcoal and graphite. Working from a live (nude) model, students will develop drawing skills while extending their range of self-expression. Learn basic anatomy, proportion, and gesture in directed exercises combined with sustained studies. Class includes demonstrations and examples from art history. All levels welcome. Tuition includes model fee. Students under age 18 must provide written permission from a guardian to work from a nude model. Students should bring the following SUPPLIES: graphite pencils (#2, #4), kneaded eraser, vinyl eraser, 1 pack vine charcoal, drawing pad (18x24). NOTE: Basic Drawing Kits and drawing pads are available for purchase at The Delaplaine (approximate value: $35).
