Wood Laminations and Knife Making

Instructor: Brandon Blische
Description: Create a custom cutting board and knife with a unique wooden grip! Students will learn the fundamentals of lamination by combining multiple pieces of wood - useful for making intricate hardwood surfaces and can be applied to decorative and functional projects. Techniques in plank lamination, decorative inlays, and simple knife handle construction will be covered. Prerequisite: Introduction to Woodworking or instructor approval. Tuition includes all supplies. REQUIRED: Signed studio waiver; closed-toed shoes; long hair must be tied back; no jewelry; long sleeves must be rolled up.
