Art Matters has expanded to Fridays & Saturdays!

Enhance your understanding and appreciation of art at Art Matters! Join us every First Saturday and on select Fridays, for this exciting series of informative discussions that touch on a different topic each month. Admission is free!

Friday Conversations on Art & Wine • 3pm
Engage in lively discussions about art while enjoying wine pairings from different regions. Conversations on art and wine are led by Delaplaine instructors Lee Newman and Lesa Cook, and Marc Monahan, owner of Spin the Bottle Wine Company. The program is open to adults 21 and older.

April 7: “Divan Japonais” by Toulouse Lautrec with Lesa Cook
May 12: “Diana of the Chase” by Anna Hyatt Huntington with Lesa Cook
June 9: “Man with the Cat (Henry Sturgis Drinker)” with Leas Cook

First Saturday Artist Talks • 2pm
Join us in the galleries for talks by exhibiting artists, Delaplaine instructors, and special guests every First Saturday. Followed immediately by our monthly exhibit receptions. Admission is free!

April 1: Sheryl Massaro, Paula Rubin-Wexler, and Karen Winston-Levin discuss their exhibit “Parallels & Perspectives”
May 6: Laura Augustin, Curatorial Assistant at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and juror for the 2017 National Juried Exhibit
June 3: John Nicholas Hutchings, Assistant Professor of Visual Art, Mount St. Mary’s University and winner of the 2016 National Juried Exhibit
